Mobile is where attacks now land

Almost every business application your employees use is now on their phone, and attackers have followed. Mobile device management keeps phones configured, but it cannot see the phishing link or malicious connection that has just arrived.

AI is widening that gap by producing new, personalised threats faster than any list of known threats can keep up, which is why the phone needs a dedicated mobile threat defence platform.

MOBILE SECURITY DONE PROPERLY

Reflex: on-device detection that acts the moment a threat lands

Reflex’s strength comes from two things working together: what it reads in the traffic, and where it makes the decision.

Key capabilities of Corrata’s mobile threat defence platform

Hyper-personalised phishing lures now reach employees’ phones through SMS, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Teams, and Slack, as well as email. Corrata never reads the message itself. Instead, its mobile phishing protection blocks the malicious site or connection the lure leads to, on the device, including sites reached by scanning a QR code.

Every connection attempt is checked against industry threat feeds combined with specialised threat intelligence and detection techniques, achieving a very high success rate with a very low rate of false positives. The same on-device inspection keeps employee communications private on unsafe Wi-Fi and cellular connections through adversary-in-the-middle protection.

Malware and spyware detection and response

Corrata uses deep packet inspection on the device to block access to malware download servers and to scan traffic, devices and apps for indicators of compromise. By interpreting a wide range of indicators, it can identify suspicious activity even when nothing is visible on the device, which is how it supports spyware detection against sophisticated exploits such as Pegasus.

When an infection is found, command-and-control traffic is disabled and the device is isolated automatically. In cases of advanced infection, Corrata can collect detailed diagnostic information from the affected device for investigation.

Shadow AI governance and data loss prevention

Employees want to use AI chatbots and cloud services, and 30% already upload corporate data to unsanctioned AI chatbots. Corrata enforces policy at the device level, so security teams can monitor the AI services in use, block access to unsanctioned services and detect previously unknown applications.

Corrata’s Shadow AI and DLP controls also stop sensitive files being uploaded to unapproved file shares, email and collaboration services, whether the upload comes through a mobile app or a web browser.

Vulnerability management and device posture

Corrata’s security score gives an easy-to-understand summary of the security stance of every employee device. Gamification and guided remediation encourage employees to update out-of-date operating systems, fix poor configuration settings, and remove dangerous applications, such as apps that over-reach on permissions or come from outside the official stores.

Devices that remain insecure can be quarantined, which isolates the risk and prompts employees to fix the issue. Alongside this, device trust ensures only devices known to be secure can access your environment.

What to look for in a mobile threat defence platform

Security leaders, IT teams, and employees each judge a mobile threat defence platform by different standards. Corrata is built to meet all of them.

For The CISO

Protection against threats with no signature yet

Corrata’s on-device network traffic inspection lets it see and counter threats that tools relying on known threat lists miss, scanning traffic, devices, and apps for indicators of compromise, poor configurations, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity. Its response options range from passive monitoring to traffic blocking, device isolation, and deep diagnostic capture.

Where you run a SIEM, Corrata forwards its threat data, including device status, threats found, and the blocks applied, so your team can work with it in the tools they already use.

For Employees

Protection they never have to fight

Phones carry personal lives as well as work, so the privacy bar is high. Because Corrata operates on the device, it does not track location, read messages, scan files, or record browsing history, an approach we call privacy by architecture.

The app runs quietly in the background without interfering with normal use, which is why employees embrace Corrata on company-owned and personal devices alike.

For The CIO

Simple to deploy, easy to manage

Getting started is as simple as installing an app. Zero-touch options cover managed and unmanaged devices, and employees can also enrol by email or SMS, which suits BYOD programmes.

Corrata offers proven deployment and integration with leading MDM platforms, and integrates with SIEM and identity providers. Because threats are blocked before they reach the device and guided remediation helps employees fix issues themselves, escalations to IT are rare.

An EU-native vendor you can hold to account

Corrata is EU-native: incorporated in the EU and headquartered in Dublin, so you are dealing with a vendor answerable inside EU jurisdiction. Because Reflex makes its decisions on the device, traffic that isn’t a threat is never captured or stored, and Corrata’s servers only receive details of threats and the action taken.

Corrata is also ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and our NIS2 Directive checklist helps security teams assess where mobile devices sit in their security posture.

Mobile threat defence platform FAQs

What is a mobile threat defence platform?

A mobile threat defence platform, also searched for as a mobile threat defense platform, is security software that detects and stops attacks aimed at smartphones and tablets, including phishing links, malicious apps, spyware and interception on unsafe networks. Corrata’s platform also covers AI governance and data loss prevention, so the same app controls how corporate data leaves the device.

What is Reflex?

Reflex is Corrata’s on-device threat engine. It inspects network traffic on the phone itself and judges what that traffic is doing, so it can act on threats with no prior record the moment they arrive, without reading the content of messages.

How does Corrata compare with other mobile threat defence platforms?

Corrata inspects network traffic on the device itself, which lets it respond in real time and catch threats other solutions miss: 23% of the threats Corrata detects are missed elsewhere. Our overview of the mobile threat defence market in 2026 compares the main vendors, and our comparison of Corrata and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on mobile looks at Microsoft’s offering in detail

Is there an option for smaller organisations?

Yes. Corrata Essentials brings enterprise-grade mobile security to organisations with fleets of up to 250 devices.
